I am never sure how I will like a book that somebody has recommended to me. Sometimes I hate it, other times I love it. This time would definitely be one of the many times I love it!! The story is based off of Macy a organized high school with great grade, athletic abilities, and a stable relationship with a genius from her high school. For Macy a summer without him(Because he will be attending brain camp for an entire 8 weeks!!) will be slow and boring. The only thing she has to do all summer is work at his old job at the library info-desk, study for SATs, and silently live with the fact that she saw her father die less than a year before. That is until she meets the Wish catering -and more importantly Wes one of there there sweet artistic workers- crew and joins there crazy cooking crew for a life changing summer. This book was truly miraculous as it challenged the meaning of forever, friendship, and love. Sarah Dessen is a genius despite the fact that I expected the ending I never expected how they got there in a meaningful well written way. Sarah Dessens writing is cute, fun, and wonderful as she writes from the view of Macy. I am definitely going to read her other best seller books!!!
i'm reading "this lullaby" by sarah dessen right now and I just finished a few weeks ago "someone like you which I highly recommend.
