My Sister's Keeper Movie Review

I know what your thinking" Why did you watch the movie before the book?" Well let me tell you one thing. That was the most depressing movie I have ever seen. The tears never seemed to end throughout the movie as the plot line jumped from one tragity to another. If I had read that book I don't know if I could have made it through a chapter without staining the book with my many tears. There is not much more to say exept that the acting was amazing, and it thouroughly moved me.( And I mean that I am currently quiet depressed from watching this struggling family crumble.) I have never been a person who watches movies instead of reading the books but I don't think I could will myself through the book since I can barley talk about the movie without tearing up.

Book Review: The Weight of The Sky

As Sarah, a Jewish band-geek from Pennsylvania, is put on a plane to Israel for the summer she is not sure what to expect from the kibbutz she is going to be volunteering at. But, as the story progresses Sarah seems to be deeply. Throughout the story Sarah falls in love, meets new people, and has a life changing experience. Overall the story was OK. Despite the amazing poetic like writing, that Lisa Ann Sandell is known for, the plot line seemed easy, and expected. Overall it was a quick unmemorable read and was not as good as some of her other books. I do love the style of writing though and am definitely going to read some of her other books.

Book Review: Cross you Heart and Hope to Spy

As Cammie Morgan returns to school after a long winter break everything seems to have settled back to normal,(Well as normal as spy school can be.) and Cammie is trying to get over Josh her ex-boyfriend who came very close to uncovering her secret. Only a couple weeks into the semester a different type of exchange students come to the Gallagher mansion. Suddenly the only girl school is infiltrated with nothing scarier than boys!! In this greatly written sequel the hormones are let loose as Cammie and her friends embrace the new semester at the most secret spy school int he world. In this great sequel Ally Carter lets her writing pour on to the page in a fun and teenage manner. This is another great book and I really recommend it.

Choosing the Right Book

Opening a book is like nothing else in the world. The smell off the crisp clean pages as the binding makes a satisfying crackle when you open it. Then if you've found the right book the world within the words will grab at you and pull you in, but that is the hardest thing of all. Finding the right book. When most people glance over a bookshelf they see colors and shapes on covers that draw them closer, but that is the problem you can't judge a book by its cover. You also can't judge a book by somebody else's opinion. A book is yours, your own little fantasy. You have to dig to find your own fantasy. Sometimes I will read a sad book during a happy moment of my life and hate it. Then months, even years later I will feel sad, and pick up the book and love it. Right now I feel slow and lonely and the books I am reading reflect my mood, and lift me from my sad stage. Even if only for a while. I dare you to dig deeper as many have done before, and discover some inner part of you that is tucked inside the crisp pages of a book laying on a mahogany book shelf somewhere waiting for you to crack its cover open.

Book Review: Breaking Dawn

I have finally finished the Twilight Saga, and it was as expected a wondrous happy ending that has left me on a natural high. From the glourius wedding to the end the story it was filled with wonderous details and twists. It also fillied with the passinite relashionship between Bella and Edward, that made me giggle like a little girl. It was deffienitly a lot better than the other books. It answered millions of questions but left me hungry for more. Now I am faced with the same question I had to answer when I finished the Harry Potter series, what to read now?!?!?!?! I am not sure but I am hoping to finish the Gallagher Girl books. I am also really pumped for New Moon the movie to come out. The final say I must have on the Twilight Saga is that all good things come to an end and this would be one of them.

Book Review of Eclipse

Simmer, Crackle, BOOM!!! That was the way this book flowed. At the start of the story it seemed to be going slow as Edward and Bella reformed their love for each other, but as the book went on ever choice all of the characters made added a element of love, suspense, or foreshadowing, making the book an overall good read. I have already dove head first into Breaking Dawn and it is definitely AMAZING! Now every detail that seemed slightly irrelevant has fallen into place. I don't really have much else to say about the book or else it would give most of it away, but I still recommend the book for anyone who wants to get wrapped up into a series full of interesting characters and concepts.

Book Review: New Moon

It took nearly to days but I have sped through New Moon. Despite some peoples thoughts I thourouly hate Jacob Black!!!!!! Even the thought of Bells falling in love with someone other than Edward makes me want to hurl!!!!!! I don't want to spoil the books for anybody so I will leave it at this... I loved the ending!! Even though the writing in this book held out for a great sucess, the story line without Edward dominating it fell short of my expections!! I did like the ending though ... acually I loved the ending because of Edward. I still think that this series holds great promise though, and can't wait to read Eclipse and Breaking Dawn.

Book Review: Twilight

Title: TwilightSeries: Twilight Saga
Author(s): Stephanie Meyer
Genre:  Fantasy

Publisher: Little, Brown, and Company
Pages: 544

Summary:
Isabella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Bella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Bella, the person Edward holds most dear. The lovers find themselves balanced precariously on the point of a knife—between desire and danger. Deeply romantic and extraordinarily suspenseful, Twilight captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying our desires. This is a love story with bite.

My Thoughts:
I try not to follow patterns or fall to peer pressure, but I have been over taken by the sweeping Twilight fever. That's right, the most recent book I have finished and adored is Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. The descriptive writing flew from the page to my head as the romantics story line lifted my sole from its depressed state. There is not much I can say except that I recommend the books and have just started New Moon. The thing I must add though is a warning to all lonely girls out there because the I found I new desire to meet someone like Edward Cullen, but regardless it is a great read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Overall Rating: 5/5

One word/phrase sum up: amazing

Book Review: Chinese Cinderella

Twisted. Cruel. Horrid, was all I could think as I flashed through this book. There were things in there that made my insides curl up. No, it wasn't because off horrable writing styles, but the thing that made me want to crumple up and hurl was the repolsive things the man characters wicked step-mother did her. The vivid details made it seem as if I was that little unwanted child who's own father had sent her off to a place at war, who's favorite pet was torn to shreds infront of her, it was so crule so horrible. I couldn't stand watching little Adeline Yen Mah get slapped by her step-mother just because her friends threw her a suprise party for becoming class president. Despite the fact that revolting things take place in this book it is still a great read. I would recomend it only to people who like to cry... alot because this child's life is so... horrible. Putting that fact away though I did love the book, and it left me with an uplifting feeling like I could push through it as long as Adeline could.

Book Review: Zach's Lie

Finally! Was all I thought as I shut the last page of this book. Despite the interesting plot line and weird twists and turns the story was dry. I expected it all as time started to run out. I could tell that Sam wasn't who he said he was and that that Alonzo was going to find him. The writing was very vague and even thought I usually love to let my imagination flow and take control of the story I felt limited. I will not be reading the sequel to this book even if it is only half as bad!
