Book Review: Life as we Knew It

Title: Life As we Knew It
Series: None but accompanying book is Dead and Gone
Author(s): Susan Beth Pfeffer
Genre: Science Fiction
Pages: 337
Summary: Through journal entries sixteen-year-old Miranda describes her family's struggles to survive after a meteor hits the moon, causing worldwide tsunamis, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions.

My Thoughts: This book was hard to site through because it moved day by day not moment by moment. Throughout the book I questioned what they were doing and what was the point of the entire story. The writing was not great but it had its moments. Due to the fact that it was written through journal entries it didn't have many sensory details, and its conversations were always lacking life. It told you but did not show you which made it boring and dry. I did like the plot line a tiny bit at the beginning but then it lost its lead.
