Summary: There’s something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori. Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price’s attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword & Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He’s the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move. Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce–and goes out of his way to make that very clear–she can’t let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her.
My Thoughts: In the beginning of this book despite the fact that I loved the writing, characters, and settings I was afraid that Luce would jump out of the pages and stalk me in the creepy way she loved Daniel, but soon I to fell victim to his charm, and good looks. The book started out slow with lots of complaining from the main character. Luckily it slowly rolled on then developed in to a full on dark mysterious story that kept me hanging onto every small detail.
SPOILER ALERT ANYTHING IN RED IS A SPOILER!
Wow I really loved Daniel but at the same time Cam was really something! The epilogue gave me chills about what could happen next, and I can't wait for the next one because I really want to know why Cam wants her!
SPOILER ENDS
Overall this book was a great book (written in 3rd person which I love!) with a set of funny mixed up characters who all added up to a dark exiting story with a great love triangle, and I can't wait for Torment to come out!
Overall Rating: 5/5
One word/phrase sum up: exiting
I also really enjoyed Fallen! I love third person, too, and I was intrigued by Cam as well. The epilogue totally threw me--what I thought had happened all went upside down once I got there!
